food for thought

A couple of weekends ago our Church held its world-wide semi-annual General Conference. There were so many important and good messages that it will take me a while to digest it all. One of the talks, by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland was poignant. He talked about the way we choose to feel about other people.

He said something like: "Coveting, pouting or tearing others down does not elevate your standing." and "Even if a grievance didn't originate with you, it can end with you!:

For the next few days I'm going to work on ending grievances and rejoicing in others' successes.
