If the body be feeble, the mind will not be strong. ~Thomas Jefferson

As I was prepping for my morning exercise
(I can only do it in the morning ... the days just zip by and there's never time left at the end of the day!)
I had to really push myself.
I have a conversation with myself every day - much like the cartoons with the angel and one shoulder and the
devil on another. I'm not a natural lover of exercise. But I do it. In fact I'm now on level 3 with Jillian Michaels! (THREE CHEERS FOR ME!)

To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear. ~Buddha

So here's my inspirational thought for today:
No matter what body
we have, big or little, infirmed or whole, old or young ...
if we treat it as a temple, we'll be blessed in all ways: physically, spiritually, mentally. I really believe that.
No comparing with super-stars necessary.
Just enjoy the miracle of your body, and treat it as the miracle it is.

  2. So timely you've done an exercise post today. My husband and I were working out this morning and I got so overheated I almost fainted and it's his gosh darn birthday - felt bad. Keeping your mind and body healthy is all part of inner peace which brings.......JOY.

  3. Thank you so much for this Denalee. I just had another surgery and am home 2 1/2 weeks from complications. I need to do everything I can to get strong again. Even a few stretches and light movements! You are my inspiration today!
