I'm a guest! check it out ...

Hey all ...
My 1st guest post is going up 1st thing Sunday at
A Taste of T by Tanya ... check it out if you have a chance.
AND
This Sunday I wanted to leave you with this thought regarding inspiration. Call it what you want - but you all know what I'm talking about ... the feelings you get, promptings, direction, inspiration ... that you know you should act upon:
"As each impression came, I carefully wrote it down. In the process I was given precious truths ..."
Richard G. Scott
When I lived in Alaska I heard him speak about the importance of acting on impressions immediately, and if that's not possible, write them down. The more we act on these promptings, the more we will receive.
This counsel has had a powerful impact on my life. I'm more at peace knowing that I'm actually getting around to the things that are of real importance rather than spinning my wheels each day catching up on laundry, making meals, earning money ....
Any thoughts on inspiration you'd like to share?

  1. I try and write things down as much as possible- I have found my Iphone life changing for this reason- I do it SO much more- Voice Memo, note, camera! All of it makes it easy to 'save' my thought.

  3. I have always journaled and it seems that since blogging I have let my personal journals go by the wayside. You have inspired me to start again!

  7. people who live with physical ailments, pains, and life-altering conditions - and KEEP going with life are very inspiring. people who care for those in heart-rending situations inspire me. people who can see past the "smiles" and the "chatter" to see the pain inside a person inspire me.

every time i think about giving up, i am reminded of one - or more - of these people and it stimulates me to pick myself up once again and get on with life.

  10. Oh wow, gorgeous picture.

Inspiration is found in everything we do, every person we meet, and every place we go. We just have to embrace it.

  11. to inspire means to breathe in, i think.
so we have to soak up or breathe in the
wonder of this world, and then do the
beautiful things we were created to do.

like shave off all your hair for your mom.

  13. Thanks so much for stopping by my silly blog the other day! I loved reading about how you donated your silver hair to your mother. That is the sweetest thing! I work a couple of days a week at a major cancer hospital (MD Anderson Cancer Center) and am always inspired by the selfless acts of people like you! I'm glad we "met". :)

  18. Wow, this is such a timely post for me, have been thinking a lot about this lately. Inspiration and time. And using, or not using each. I often end up spinning my wheels going nowhere because I have either not written down an idea when I had it and then can't remember it again, or because I am afraid the idea isn't good enough yet and waiting for it to get there it is never acted upon. I really need to get up the guts to just do it!
