Hey all ...
My 1st guest post is going up 1st thing Sunday at
A Taste of T by Tanya ... check it out if you have a chance.
AND
This Sunday I wanted to leave you with this thought regarding inspiration. Call it what you want - but you all know what I'm talking about ... the feelings you get, promptings, direction, inspiration ... that you know you should act upon:
"As each impression came, I carefully wrote it down. In the process I was given precious truths ..."
Richard G. Scott
When I lived in Alaska I heard him speak about the importance of acting on impressions immediately, and if that's not possible, write them down. The more we act on these promptings, the more we will receive.
This counsel has had a powerful impact on my life. I'm more at peace knowing that I'm actually getting around to the things that are of real importance rather than spinning my wheels each day catching up on laundry, making meals, earning money ....
Any thoughts on inspiration you'd like to share?
I try and write things down as much as possible- I have found my Iphone life changing for this reason- I do it SO much more- Voice Memo, note, camera! All of it makes it easy to 'save' my thought.
ReplyDeleteMy new favorite quote...
ReplyDelete"Happy is the man who dreams dreams and has the courage to work to accomplish them"
-Neal A. Maxwell
I have always journaled and it seems that since blogging I have let my personal journals go by the wayside. You have inspired me to start again!

I write and draw and go for long walks in the woods. Very inspirational, and it allows me quiet time from professional and daily life. Happy Sunday;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree with writing things and random thoughts down. It's like jotting down notes about life. :3
ReplyDeleteLove this and I use my pics for inspiration.....
ReplyDeletepeople who live with physical ailments, pains, and life-altering conditions - and KEEP going with life are very inspiring. people who care for those in heart-rending situations inspire me. people who can see past the "smiles" and the "chatter" to see the pain inside a person inspire me.
ReplyDeleteevery time i think about giving up, i am reminded of one - or more - of these people and it stimulates me to pick myself up once again and get on with life.
Wow I love that quote. Happy Sunday lady!
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed at the inspiration the world has to offer us all..everyday...everywhere..in every corner..all we have to do is open our eyes...it is waiting with open arms for us to embrace. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI believe we create our own destiny...thoughts are powerful! I try hard to keep them positive so I can be the best person I can to my ability, that's my inspiration! xOxO
ReplyDelete(it's me, sparkling scrapbooks- did a little redo!) see, I was inspired! :)
you are such a gem :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, gorgeous picture.
ReplyDeleteInspiration is found in everything we do, every person we meet, and every place we go. We just have to embrace it.
to inspire means to breathe in, i think.
ReplyDeleteso we have to soak up or breathe in the
wonder of this world, and then do the
beautiful things we were created to do.
like shave off all your hair for your mom.
Thanks this is lovely. BTW, I grew up in Alaska.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my silly blog the other day! I loved reading about how you donated your silver hair to your mother. That is the sweetest thing! I work a couple of days a week at a major cancer hospital (MD Anderson Cancer Center) and am always inspired by the selfless acts of people like you! I'm glad we "met". :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I can't wait to show this to my teenage sons who think I'm crazy b/c I have notebooks stashed all over the house!!
ReplyDeleteI've been like that since I was in the 8th grade. I feel ungrounded otherwise!
Thanks for the visit!!!
Hey,thanks for stopping by my blog, so lovely to get such nice comments!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing blog you have. You are doing such a wonderful thing - i think YOU might be a great inspiration to a lot of other people.
xx
You are so inspiring! I also think that is is important to inspire and be inspired. xo
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful picture and very inspiring. i am totally inspired by everything around me and how beautiful one super being could even have an inkling on how to make it so beautiful! the sunrises, the sunsets, the flowers and even the trees - even if they were in black & white!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is such a timely post for me, have been thinking a lot about this lately. Inspiration and time. And using, or not using each. I often end up spinning my wheels going nowhere because I have either not written down an idea when I had it and then can't remember it again, or because I am afraid the idea isn't good enough yet and waiting for it to get there it is never acted upon. I really need to get up the guts to just do it!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lovely and thought-provoking concept.
ReplyDeleteYOU are inspiring!
ReplyDeletei've done locks for love but what you've done is so much more...and you look FANTASTIC. i can't wait to keep reading. my prayers are with your mama.
Wonderful post, Denalee! I believe God speaks to us everyday. We just need to practice listening more.
