sisters

That's my youngest, Azure, on the right. The other one is either Brooke or Sierra ... can't tell. I know the girls won't really like this picture - they're all 3 photo-hogs. They love taking great pictures of themselves! So this one wouldn't measure up for them. But for me it's one of my favorites. That I can't tell which sister is next to Azure makes it all the more meaningful. Seeing 2 sisters curled up beside each other, sharing a single blanket. Well, there's not a better gift for a mother, now, is there? There are some great quotes about sisters. These few I'm sharing with you really strike a chord in me - about my own sisters, and about my daughters:
When sisters stand shoulder to shoulder, who stands a chance against us? ~Pam Brown
A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. ~Marion C. Garretty
Is solace anywhere more comforting than in the arms of a sister. ~Alice Walker
How do people make it through life without a sister? ~Sara Corpening
When mom and dad don't understand, a sister always will. ~Author Unknown
I love you girls.

  1. Beautiful photo and wonderfully written!! My sister and I are very different BUT, when I most needed her she stepped right up! and stayed by my bedside for over 7 weeks while I was in the coma. She was my voice and strength when I had neither. A sister's love is deeper than even each realizes!! Many blessings, my friend. XO HHL

  5. Your picture is precious and your quotes all right on. I Love my 7 sisters, and now I have only 3 sisters left.
My 3 daughters are such jewels to me, and they love and support each other so much, even though they are each different and not always in agreement. The words of the song "Sisters" are so true "Lord help the mister, who comes between me and my sister". Thank heaven for SISTERS!

  6. A great SpecialSnap! Sister, what can I say last year I lost my SpecialBigSis to that beast we call Cancer, How do people make it through life without a sister? It is so so difficult I treasured our the love and friendship we shared. I have a SpecialLilSis who is so very precious to me and perhaps now in light of that huge loss she is even more precious (if that is possible). Beautifully written SS. Cheers SpecialK XoXo

  7. I could say the same for my sisters. They (you) were both there when I needed them most - as my voice, my hands, and my logic when my life was turned upside-down. Thank you both for being so wonderful!
