I've mentioned before that I am a strong believer in a healthy life style. It's true that I believe in exercise and caution with what goes into the body. BUT, I do love my chocolate. And there are some pretty good chocolate quotes out there .... (all these quotes from virtual chocolate.com)
"Exercise is a dirty word ... every time I hear it I wash my mouth out with chocolate"
"I have this theory that chocolate slows down the aging process. It may not be true - but dare I take the chance?"
And now a serious quote that has very little to do with chocolate. But first, an explanation: I got a telemarketing phone call the other day, but the caller asked for my daughter. When I asked where he was calling from and he told me it was the MS Society, I told him I was surprised he was calling for my daughter since I was the one who used to have MS. That sparked a conversation - "used to have?", he asked. "Yes," I replied. "I know they say there is no cure and that MS is a lifelong disease, but I just don't believe that." He asked me to share my story (you can read it here, here, here, here and here) We ended the conversation with him saying,
"You are what you eat, you'll be what you speak".
Good quote from an anonymous telemarketer!
Whoa! That statement is TOO COOL of a quote, huh?!
ReplyDeleteBesides being soooooo with you on chocolate, I'm with you on health, healthful living and lifestyle. I know I have a long way to go and could do better, but I'm grateful for my temple. I firmly believe I should care for it in every way I can. . .
It's the only body I'll get!
Glad to hear you're doing sooooo well, all because of the wisdom of a healthy lifestyle. YOU had to do it. No one else but you.
Wow, what a great quote! I love chocolate, too, but my main vices are actually salty and spicy foods. I am totally with you about being mindful of what we put into our bodies!
ReplyDeleteWhat a random yet inspirational phone call! You bring that out in people, I bet.
ReplyDeleteYours is a tale of triumph that is wonderful to read. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

Just read your story. Amazing!
ReplyDeletejust read your story and i am truly amazed and humbled. you are one of the most inspiring people i've had the pleasure to "meet."
ReplyDeleteHA-what perfect chocolate quotes! Just the thing for what seems like an interminable Thursday afternoon!
ReplyDeleteOh! It is I who love YOU, my new friend!
ReplyDeleteYour story is beautiful from start to finish. You are a true example of finding faith in the scriptures and being blessed. The Word Of Wisdom is inspired and yet so many do not follow it's simple precepts (even members of the church who ingest unhealthy foods).
Your sister in law running for sheer gratitude warmed my heart. What a wonderful reason.
It is an honor to know you. :)
I too stand all amazed.
Well, I went back and read your entire story and cried once again. How very grateful I am for the privilege of being your mother. You are an incredible example to me.
