new-do week 8

Well, it's been 2 months and I'm sorta lovin' the cool comfort of mega-short hair.
On other news:
I took my girls to see David Archuleta at Deseret Book
for a book signing.
These are 2 of my daughters on the left singing into his mic.
Holy Schmoly! The girls were right up front for the mini concert, and I have to say ~ this kid is gorgeous in-person! And his voice! It's perfect.
(I'll take him for a son-in-law anytime!)
“If you have the desire, if you feel like “Yes, I want to do that”, even if it is a hard path to take, even if it has a lot of resistence with big hills and rocks and trees and you can get scratches, and you can trip and fall, and you can get hurt. I think that’s what makes us grow the most”.
David Archuleta
So, I've got some ideas of what I want to do - and even though the path may be hard, I'm going for it.
How about you? Are you on a path that may be difficult but 'worth it'?

  3. You should be lovin' your hair - it's gorgeous! I've got hair about that short and yours looks like I wish mine would.

You've got me so curious about the path you are about to walk down. Whatever game you're about to play, you've got yourself some cheerleaders here!

  5. Radient! You look absolutely radient!!! Love the quote..

Most definitely... with all the ups and downs, I wouldn't continue to grow ... and because of them I'm on my way to creating a "new" Me ... I just need to find the strength to let go of the "old" me... but I will continue on the new path no matter how long it takes!!! XO HHL

  6. I am proud to say that Mr. David Archuletta has stood on my lawn before. We have erected a monument on the very spot and no one is allowed to touch it.

I like the hairdo. So cool, me thinks.

  16. The hair is stunning. I love the whiteness it has now!

David Arch was one of my favorites on AI. Such a sweet boy.

I have walked on many difficult paths and almost all have been worth it. I don't think I have ever taken the easy road, which got me thinking about whether there was even a choice as to which road to take.

  19. I really love your hair short! The style is very becoming on you! How awesome for your girls to meet David...it looks like they had a blast! I am not really sure what path I am on in my life right now but do know that I have had some rather difficult ones in my life. Being a victim of child abuse in my days was not easy...things are so different now thank goodness. But I feel that all those difficult paths I have had to take in life...including breast cancer...have made me what I am today...and I am better for them. Thanks for inspiring us to think about those things!

    HUGS!

  26. like everyone else, love the hair. i'm due for a short cut again. ron likes mine longer but it's hard for me to take care of it with all the other stuff going on.

i am on a path that is tough but should have a good outcome. that's the plan anyway. trying to lose 20 pounds, get in better physical shape, and getting myself mentally prepared for Ron's surgery. We should find out tomorrow when that will be scheduled.

  31. First of all look how your little blog has grown.... secondly my goodness you are stunningly beautiful... I mean really really stunning... your daughters are lucky to have such great genetics to look forward too... and more importantly you have an amazing heart and spirit... I am so glad to have gotten to know you through blog land....

Third... thank you for posting this... I was having a moment of panic and envy... two of my dear friends from college who have been married for a few years now are pregnant and I am so tickled for them all Randi wants is to be a stay at home mom and her dreams are coming true... and I am so so so happy for them... but this little part of me compared where they are to where I am... they are getting settled and starting a life, and in four days I am packing up everything I know to head off to medical school... sleepless nights of studying and hospital rotations, more debt than I can imagine... I know that my calling is different than Randi's... and I am so happy... but a little part of me just turned green... and then your sweet face and sweet post hit me like a fresh breeze on a hot humid southern day and I realize that God's plan for me is just as perfect and lovely and wonderful as God's plan for Randi..... Thank you... for touching me, even when you don't mean too!~ Elle
