Brad and I went to see Mystere on the strip last night ... that was after a vigorous half hour of swimming. I had Bryan snap this really quickly as we were headed out the door for my week 7 shot. Mystere, by the way, was AWESOME. People flying all through the air, a little laughter, a lot of gasping and oohing and ahhhing!
and now ... a sweet thought:
"Sometimes when I consider the tremendous consequences from little things ... a chance word ... a tap on the shoulder or a wink of an eye, I am tempted to think there are no little things."
Emily Dickinson
Friends, what little thing by another person has been BIG to you?
Denalee, I must say this is the best one yet! Gorgeous as always.

So right - considering the flight of a butterfly can lead to a storm... You are looking so radiant in this picture. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the new hair! it's growing out so fast! and I love that quote... I agree something so little to you may have a huge impact on someone else! good or bad...
ReplyDeleteYou look GORGEOUS - really I love it! I saw Mystere a few years ago and it was great. My daughter just went last weekend on her "girls" trip to Vegas - her second time seeing it. Yesterday, a woman told me she liked my necklace (it's one I made) and it made my day. She could have admired it without saying anything but her 4 little words just made my day. I'll remember to pay it forward today.
ReplyDeletePS - you were a giveaway winner on my blog!
Your hair looks fantastic might I say!
ReplyDeleteRecently I oohed and ahhed about a gorgeous ruffled pillow that a blogger had made, and admired her sewing skills and she actaully made me a pillow and mailed it to me. How sweet was she? I sent her a piece of my handmade felt in return, but I know she didn't expect anything, it was just an old fashioned random kindness.
Your hair looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIt always means a lot to me when someone comes up to me at a wedding reception and thanks me for playing. My job is to be the background music, and that's totally fine, but it's nice when someone takes time to let me know they're listening.
your hair is getting so long!!
ReplyDeleteall little things impact me in a big way. when someone cares enough to notice details--you know they really care!

ReplyDeleteThe hair is looking good lady! In terms of posting, i'm really not finding photobucket that useful, but it coudl jsut be me. In order to get the photos side-by-side, but not mahoooosive, i'm droping the photos into Publisher, then making the two pictures one - it seemed to work today so i'll see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week xx
You are such a beautiful woman.....inside and out!!!
ReplyDeleteGee lately...I have been running into the most rude people!!!! Not a kind gesture...even last night this woman was in the store and said some smart comment to Joe and I....not the best time for me...I was running on empty....so I must have looked at her like she has three heads and she quickly left the aisle...so I will be waiting for that kind gesture....or I will offer more to others!!!
Love the new do!
ReplyDeleteI was so shocked and happy when blog readers sent me the Eclipse soundtrack and the Bree Tanner book as well as money to see the Eclipse movie. So terrible sweet and such small gestures that totally made my month.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote and you look stunning in this picture.:)SarahD
ReplyDeleteYour hair is Cute, Cute, Cute!
ReplyDeleteI guess the little things that are so BIG to me right now are the wonderful comments from so many wonderful bloggers encouraging my sister and I right now as we are going through these hard and strange times. You look the way I wish I looked in short hair, Unfortunately, I have an itty bitty pin head, so short hair on my makes me look like I'm a tangerine on a stick.
ReplyDeleteYou, on the other hand, are beautiful.
Love your hair, it looks fabulous!! And I love that Dickinson quote, I totally agree there really are no little things. You never know when the smallest gesture could mean the world to someone.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is perfectly ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks wonderful! I like it better this way than before you cut your beautiful locks. It fits your personality (from what I can tell)...:)
ReplyDeleteThrough my sister, I had been told of a friend who was going through a very difficult trial. My sister told her to read my blog to feel uplifted. I thought...whoaaa...my blog??? (no pressure there!) I felt I should post something positive the next day just incase her friend decided to stop by. She did (I met her once and knew her name), and left a comment thanking me. I teared up big time! A small gesture to most people, but I was touched that God might use me to minister to her hurting heart! :) You never know out there who is reading your words!
anytime a complete stranger gives me a compliment it's a HUGE self-esteem boost because a stranger wouldn't say it if they didn't mean it
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog, and I'm so inspired! I think you've done such a lovely thing.. and I've always wanted to shave my head. :]
ReplyDeleteCan you get any more gorgeous? Love the hair!!!
ReplyDeleteLets' see.....about your question. One day, when I looked a mess, the house was wrecked and the kids were less than clean and angelic, there was a knock on the front door. When I answered it, a neighbor I did not know well stood on my door mat. The minute she saw me she started to cry. I ask her to come in and tell me what was wrong but she shook her head no. Then she said these words that I will never forget.
"I was praying for you today, and the Lord showed me that you have no idea the impact you have on people's lives. But you do. You have impacted mine."
Then she walked away. I stood there, watching her leave and all I could do was cry because I realized something. What we do matters. For the good. For the not so good. What we do matters.
