Do we look alike, or what?!
(must be the hair ... hehehehe)
Speaking of hair:
HOLY SCHMOLY my hair has grown!
Yeah, you can sort of tell in this picture, but even since this picture was taken on Sunday it's grown - my Mom says she can see some curl in it now. Yipee.
Mom gave me a scare when she said that it could grow in completely straight (and I'd deserve that for all the hours I've spent straitening my hair!)
Anyhoooo ...
Before I get to the really exciting news of this post I just want to say that my Dad is amazing.
Feeling down and need a good laugh? Feeling down and need a good cry? Feeling up and want to celebrate?
The truth is that Dad is the perfect person to be near. I don't know how he does it, but sometimes he has me laughing and crying at the same time. Right now, I'm so thankful that my Mom and my Dad have each other. And that I have them both. Blessed. That's what I am.
Now ... drum roll please ...........

ReplyDeletethats a sweet blog mom! grandpa is so great!
ReplyDeletethe relationship is something that everyone need to be envy of.
ReplyDeleteI could really relate when I read about the book you are showcasing. Something happens inside of you when you go through trials. For years I had so much inside that I needed to share and finally last fall, published my book Celebrate Life which outlines 21 Life Lessons that will custom design your life. I have been cancer free for 11 years + and will never be the same! Wouldn't want to go through it again, but learned some valuable life lessons during those dark times. I share them along with many others in my book.
ReplyDeleteYour dad is a hoot. Love him! Love your mom, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks SO much for stopping by my blog! You have such an inspirational message and such sweet photos. I did a 1/2 marathon with Team in Training last year, so your story holds a special place in my heart. Now you have 47 followers! :)

Congratualtions on the fifty mark! That certainly is something to be proud of. Your dad seems like an amzing individual. You both are so lucky to have such a close relationship with eachother. I wish you and your family all of the happiness you deserve!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Actually, I wouldn't mind if my hair magically started growing straight. It sure would save me a heck of a lot of money at the hairdressers.
ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteand i have a fabulous dad like that too :) so your post made me smile & be thankful for him! what a blessing to have such awesome parents :)
Great photo and how exciting!
ReplyDeleteI've always felt like the shorter your hair is the faster is grows - hence the reason I can shave my hubby's head and you can't even tell the next week but I have been trying to grow my hair out for a YEAR and don't see as much length as I'd like.
ReplyDeleteConspiracy? I think so.
cute blog! :)
ReplyDeletexo.
You two do look alike! I love how big you're grinning in this photo! And I can't believe how much your hair has grown! Is it still soft or is it starting to feel kind of spikey now?
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that shaved hair always grows faster? less damage, fewer breaks in the hair? I dunno, but it seems like it just grows and grows and grows... which is what I hope your hair does!
I'm dying to see the wig you had made for your mom! Be sure to post it for us!
I agree fully with this post. There is nothing like the relationship between a father and daughter!
ReplyDeletei posted about my papa today too....
ciao bella
