small = great

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Mom was not only surprised at my lack-of-locks, but actually sad. That is, until she read the card:

The card was signed with many, many names. Mom and Dad both were touched by the long list of people contributing to the wig, thinking of them, and mostly those praying for them. As a PS~you've not only made my day, but my parents' also as we've read together your sweet comments.

Here's my little piece of inspiration for today:
Always remember this ~ the smallest act of kindness, even just a kind comment on a blog post, doesn't go unnoticed; and it can be the means of turning a rough moment into one filled with love and gratitude. Have a great day, my blogging friends!

  1. Oh how inspiring this post is and I just adore you!!!! I also believe that the smallest act of kindness does not go unnoticed....

    I was going to get a blood drawl and this older gentleman was coming very slowly behind me and he had a walker...everyone just hurried past him to get into the building...but I waited for him to hold the door and he looked up at me with these beautiful blue eyes and Blessed me for holding the door...yes I was in a hurry....but what is a few minutes out of my day to help this dear little man!!!

    Wishing you a Fabulous Day!!!

  8. Dear Connie you remind me so much of my wonderful, sweet, precious Mother. The cancers are different but the lost hair is the same. I only wish I would have had silver hair so I could have been able to sacrifice for her in the same way that Denalee has sacrificed for you. She is one in a million and we are so thankful to have her a special part of our family. Love, hugs and kisses to you, Dennis and Denalee. xoxoxo Noreen Chapman

  11. Oh my goodness, I'm tearing up again!! I can't wait to hear and see how the finished wig turns out. Your sweet mom must feel so loved right now!! And you should know, especially as the weather warms up, that you really don't need to wear a scarf, you look gorgeous without it!! And in a couple of months you will have such a chic little pixie cut!!

  12. I donated my hair three years ago and will be doing it again this October. Every time I brush my hair until then, I will be praying for your mom and my sister.

    I promise to brush at least once a day. :-)
