Play energizes us and enlivens us. It eases our burdens. It renews our natural sense of optimism and opens us up to new possibilities.

I grew up in a game-playing family.
From Capture-the-Flag to Rook; from Scum to Stinky Sardines ...
Games are fun!
Here's my list of this month's favorite games of mine:
Ticket to Ride
Speed Scrabble
Scum
Nertz
LieBrary
Are you a game player?
I'd love to hear about a must-play game!
Tell me what you play.
Surely all God’s people…like to play.

i like scrabble. i play family feud on facebook.
ReplyDeleteBoard games were huge in my house too!
ReplyDeleteTicket to Ride for us, too! Have you ever played Beyond Balderdash? Cards have five categories. Everyone writes down the definition or description of something--say, a movie, word, or famous person--and then then the "dasher" reads the answers out loud (including the correct one). Points are scored for correct guesses on the board, but I never care if I win or lose because this game is HILARIOUS with a fun group of people! Definitely a good party or family game.
ReplyDeleteI also like Catch Phrase for a party game--they make it electronically now and it's easy to bring on trips.
I know you guys have a Wii...have you played Wii Party? So much fun!
Ticket to ride rules! I love all versions of it.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, our family loves ticket to ride! we also love loaded questions and dutch blitz :)
